The infamous Twister lives again. Kyle Tucker built Twister in a garage in his backyard and used it to help initiate the pro-touring movement. He loved to take it to car shows often, compete in autocross competitions, and time attacks. Eddie Vannoy eventually saw Twister at a car show in Columbus, Ohio, and bought it from Kyle. With the recent funds from the sale of Twister, Kyle started Detroit Speed, a highly accredited and well-known auto parts manufacturer specializing in Performance Suspension Products that surpass late-model performance expectations. Currently, Twister is being modernized. We are replacing the small block Chevy engine with a modern Generation 5 LT4, updating the Dodge Viper transmission with a new magnum T56F, and overall refurbishing.
